World Book Day


World Book Day celebrations in school provide a platform for children to explore the joys of reading, expand their knowledge and develop important skills that contribute to their holistic development. The love for books encourage a love for reading, stimulates imagination and creativity, nurtures emotional intelligence & much more. The students of classes Nursery, Pre Primary & I created beautiful book marks with the support & guidance of their facilitators and wrote short captions on them reflecting their love for books.

Books are the magic keys to open up new worlds.

A book is like a garden that you can carry in your pocket.

Books are a uniquely portable magic.

One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher
can change the world.

Books hold the key to unlock your imagination and set it free.

Reading is a superpower that lets your imagination soar!

EARTH DAY

We believe that Earth Day celebrations provided our little wonders with valuable lessons about the importance of environmental conservation. It encouraged them to develop a sense of responsibility towards the planet and instilled in them the knowledge that their actions can make a positive impact. 


It was an engaging and educational event focused on raising awareness about the importance of protecting and caring for our planet. 


Students of Class Nursery made stick puppets of happy planet; Pre Primary students did colouring in a pollution free planet; & Class I children created badges of Planet Earth & wrote small slogans on them.

World Heritage Day



World Heritage Day was celebrated in school on 18th April, 2023. The aim of celebrating the day was to spread awareness about the importance of the cultural heritage & its preservation. Various programmes related to the historical structures of India were organized by the school. Special assembly was conducted on this occasion. Teachers explained to school children the meaning and importance of rich cultural heritage and advised them to preserve & conserve our legacy.


Our Supervisory Head, Mrs. Simmi Mahajan motivated the students and told them to feel proud to be Indian and mentioned that inspite of diversities, we are one and we must respect our culture.

Children of Class Nursery did colouring on a worksheet in the picture of Qutubminar;
Pre Primary Class students did colouring on a worksheet of monuments of India;
Class 1 children did picture pasting on various monuments to make placards.










Our world is full of wonders, let's celebrate and protect them!

It is indeed a moment of great pride and also an occasion to commemorate the significant day of our institute. It’s been 42 years, DAVians commenced their journey and is reaching pinnacle to go beyond the ordinary. The school has been untiring in its efforts to ensure holistic development of its students and it has made a remarkable contribution to the society and the nation. The special assembly was aimed at ensuring that the school extended its warmest commendation to all those who have contributed in achieving the aims and objectives of our school. It was a day well spent with a lot many activities. The event concluded with positive thoughts and encouragement to do good, to give our best in everything we do and to strive to always make DL DAV proud.

World Health Day

 World Health Day was celebrated in the School wherein students were sensitized to remain healthy by eating nutritious food, fruits and vegetables. They were made aware about the importance of physical exercises like Yoga, Zumba Dancing and Aerobics to remain fit & active. They also recited rhymes, conveying the message of healthy eating habits.

A talk on the topic 'Healthy Mind Dwells in a Healthy Body' shed light on the importance of healthy eating habits, adequate rest and hygiene was explained. Students learnt the importance of sports & exercise in our daily lives. They also pledged to keep their mind and bodies healthy.

First Day Of The School

The first day of school is an exciting and sometimes nervous time for kids. To make them feel at home, ample activities were planned to see them happy and mingled. The first day of school sets the tone for the rest of the year. By creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, getting engrossed in fun and musical activities and fostering positive relationships we tried to help children feel comfortable and excited about the days ahead.
