Parents ki Paathshala’, an Orientation programme was conducted at the Junior wing of DLDAV School for our newly attached parents.

“Together may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly”

Starting school can be exciting or stressful for the tiny tots and their parents too. We want to make this experience an exciting, successful and happy.

The orientation helps create the foundation for positive relationships between parents and teachers that sets the stage for a smooth transition to school and future success. Also, we give the parents an idea about how the school functions. They were made familiar with the featured rooms of the school like - Activity Room, Sensorial Room, Computer Lab, Table Tennis Room & others.

Our Principal Ma’am Mrs. Seema Agarwal also visited and interacted with the parents and enlightened them about our school. Her interaction with the parents proved to be an icing on the cake.

As it is rightly said that the ‘first impression is the last impression’.

The beaming faces of the parents after the session proved that we have been successful in conducting today’s programme.

 Holi was celebrated at DL DAV Model School, Junior wing with great zeal and enthusiasm. In deep knowledge and awareness was imparted during the special assembly. The kids were shown a short video on story of Prahalad and Holika Dahan. To rejoice in the celebration of colours is important but to play it safe is equally important. Our blooming buds were made aware of herbal colours made with natural flowers. They were asked to play safe Holi by using natural colours. Kids reflected upon wastage of water during Holi celebration and pledged to play dry Holi instead.

Teachers also planned different craft and creative activities to add on to the celebration such as card making, water guns etc to enhance their imagination.

The day ended on a note of high spirit and energy with a riveting dance of children on fun filled Holi songs. The ambience added to the festive spirit. It was a joyful celebration of Holi at school wherein everyone greeted each other Holi wishes.
